It's almost Christmas! Yet that doesn't mean that things are slowing down just yet at Ashfield House. It is a busy and bustling with those couples who opted for a winter-themed day and plenty taking the opportunity to look round our chic and quirky country house.
During Advent this year, over on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram we have been counting down to Christmas and reviewing 2016 in the process by selecting some of our favourite images that have been taken at Ashfield House. There are a host of incredible UK photographers who consistently arrive on our doorstep to capture every moving moment of a wedding day. We also hold special creative wedding photoshoots here, and so our photo album is buying at the seams with these striking, breath taking images.
We thought we would choose Advent to honour those innovative, talented and perceptive photographers and showcase their work here in the count down to Christmas. We rely on their photographs to show the world what awaits at Ashfield House.
Day 1 - Jonny Draper PhotographyOur great friend Jonny had faith in us before we even started our renovations. Oh and his photographs are awesome! Jonny knows every nook and cranny here at Ashfield and brings it to life with every wedding day he captures.
Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
Day2 - DJ Archer PhotographyOur team at Ashfield is genuinely like one big family, our couples become part of our family and our fold when they book. Being married with kids themselves, Danny and Liz of DJ Archer photography know a fair bit about love and we absolutely LOVE having them at Ashfield.
Love keeps no record of wrongs. 1 Corinthians 13:5
Day3 - Lottie Designs LtdWe love generosity here at Ashfield House, its a major part of our company ethos. This was a gorgeous generous moment that look bride, Emma, by complete surprise. Husband-to-be, Mike, bought her a new bike as a wedding present and it was waiting in the Bridal Sitting Room for her! Photo by the super creative and lovely Charlotte of LottieDesigns Ltd.
One gives freely, yet grows all the richer. Proverbs 11:24
Day 4 - Andy WardleTurning a tired, unloved house into something quite extraordinary has been one of our favourite things about being at Ashfield House. Good photographers have such a talent for creating a stunning photo out of an ordinary location or situation, Andy Wardle in particular, you are incredible at this!
Let your light shine before others. Matthew 5:16
Day5 - Jeff Langhorne PhotographyWe like to keep Ashfield House as an exciting blank canvas for our couples with a lovely hint of eccentric quirkiness. Somewhat 'less is more' you might say. ...But oh how we love to see it when weddings absolutely 'go big or go home'. Nobody does this better than our friends at Red floral Architecture and if you want all this glorious detail captured then you need Jeff Langhorne Photography!
Whatever you do, do it with all your heart. Colossians 3:23
Day6 - Tim Emmerton PhotographyWe LOVE Ashfield House but we love it too much to let it stay the same year in year out! We close every January to renovate, our team are always looking for ways to stay current and my shopping habit is regularly put to very good use! Here we showcase the very talented Tim Emmerton Photography who shares our passion for evolving, his work is really breathtaking.
